The atonement makes all possible

Soo amazing the conference wiht Elder Bednar! I learned so much! Something i really lvoed though that Hermana Bednar explained was that she saiad that a lot of times when something hard happened, she thought to herself that she couldnt do it but then she now understadns that she should have never thought that becasue God has alsways helped her through it all if she was just willing to be humble and accept His divine help. Ive felt that way way too many times in my mission and life.. but i also feel like Hermana Bednar that we should never doubt but trust in God at all times. I knwo that God is always willing to help us and stregthen us. He makes all possible. I feel like thats the beauty of life and the mission,. We always receive opportunities to grow and learna dn apply Christs atonment in our lives. I know that the atonement isnt just to help us overcome sin but also any kind of pain, discouragement, adn difficultiues that we face in this mortal journey. He suffered it alone so that we dont have to. He took it all upon Himself adn overcame it so that we may also overcome it all.

I testify of His relaity and love and divine help. He is constant. We as humans normally arent but the purpose in this life is striving to become better at beign constant to Him so we may enjoy the blessings and eternal life with Him adn our Heavenly FAther. So that we too may overcome it all and become like Him. I know that He has pure and perfect love for each one of us. I know that as we trust in Him all is possible. I promise you all that as you strive to apply the atonement to every part i your life that you will always find happiness and receive guidance. That you will never feel alone adn that you will find peace even when the world around you is in turmoil. I love you all and express my gratitude for all the contributions you make to follow God and build up His kingdom here on Earth. i

Being Super Late and the Atonement

This week we had a very beautiful experience wiht one of our investigadors, Pati. Well it all starts out wiht a few different specific prayers. First off, our ride was late..like super late lol. haha so we both prayed like crazy that it would start late and that shed be able to experience it fully. Also we prayed that she would feel the importacne of it. We finally got therte..20 minutes late with the family and it hadnt started yet! About seriously 2 minutes after we arrived, they started the service. Im so grateful! The whole experience was beautiful. She was in awe. Then after we watched the three people be baptized, as we were waiting for them to change. We asked her how she feels and what she thinks about it all. And she replied to us that she feels like baptism is v ery important becasue Gos receives you when you are baptized. It was so beautiful adn amazing that she understood it. Then she explainded thta she needs to tlak wiht her family because she wants to follow through with the decision. She is so humble and has such a pure heart. She has truly great desires to follow Christ. Im so grateful fdor the opportunity i have to be able to get to know her and be able to see her progress. She went from someone who wanted to adn tried killing herself and hearing voices to the most happiest person i know who feels like she has so much light in her life nopw and wants to follow God will 100%. Shes amazing.

Im so grateful for missionary work and that we get eh great opportunity to be in the front row seats to the greatest work of all times, the application of the atonement in peoples lives. So beautiful. Im so grateful for my Savior that made it all possible. I love this gospel! I love you all!

This Week Has Been Amazing!

We´ve seen so many miracles! Something that was really interesting that happened this week was during a lesson that we had with a new investigador. As we were teaching him we ended up realizing that he was attached with the missionaries in general than in God really. We were really affected by this so we felt like we needed to explain about how he needs to put his trust and faiht in God. Hes been an investigador that other missionaries have taught for years. Later on in the lesson, he basically denied Christ and didnt have love for Him or God. I really felt the Spirit bear a strong witness to me how wrong he was for thinking so.. and felt the need to testify to Hijm by the Spirit of what I know. The Spirit strengthened me as I testified and acted on my faith. Its interesting how much opposition helps us to grow. My testimony kept growiing stronger as i testified of Christs reality and how He is our Savior and how God is our Father and of His gospel. I know that a trestimony is definitely found in the bearing of it. My testimoy even grew more that day.

I havbe always had a testimony of Chirst and God but i know that my testimony grew so much that day becasue of how much opposition there was. I often think about all the expereinces that people have had where right before having an extreme manifestation of God,  there reached great opposition. Opposition is necessary and a very important part of our life and eternal progress. I felt it even more that day...and every day. Its through oppostion that people grow. Its during those tiems of peacew that we need to prepare us even more for when those great opportunities to grow come our way. :) We need to be at all times growinig and preparing in some way. Its the purpose of this life. God wants us to become like Him and get to know Him even more but if we dont go through those times of peace and opposition, we cannto succeed. We should be thankful fro every opportunity. I am so gratefl for the opostiona nd the peace that we receive daily. I testify that it helps us to grow if we always put our confidence in God and His mercy and as we use the great gift of the atonement. :) I know that if we always act of our faith or even desires to belive for those starting out that we will receive continual manifestatiosn of God and His reality and power. I know that as we act on promptings of the Spirit that we will continually be able to have peace adn that every oportunity will be for our eternal benefit and joy. I know that Jesus is the Christ. I knwo that God is our Heavenly Father. I testify of their reality and love for each one of us adn that it is true, pure and eternal. I testify that they are loving and perfect beigns with a great purpose to help us receive eteranl life and return to our heavenly home. I know that They will prepare us if we continue or start acting on Their wise and perfect counsels.

Hermana Cook and I

This week has been great! We´ve seen a lot of miracles and have learned many new things! I seriously love this gospel! This week my companion and i have set a lot fo new goals and plans to help our little piece of the Lords vineyard to progress a lot more. We are super excited in order to work towards them and accomplish them through Gods help. 

We witnessed a huge miracle this week regarding a part memeber family that we have been working with and serving. We felt the need to share about family history work and as the Spirit filled the room, Jorge decided that it was something that he needed to learn more about adn that it was something very important. He understood that it was only the Church of Jesus Christ of Latterday Saints that had such work and opportunities. It was really beautiful to see the Spirit of Elijah literally working and touching his heart. We tuaght him even more about it and he absolutely found the need to do the work for his family and find their names and stories. :) We are planning a time to get together with the fmaily history consultant of the ward and are planning the day in which all can get together. Im so excited!

The next time that we taught Mirtha and Jorge, we felt that we needed to teach them about the sacrament and the representation of all that is found within.. We focused on how important it is and how it applies to Christs atonement. As the Spirit testifed to them of the truthfulness, they ended up feeling that they sinned by not going to church and that they needed to repent. Thats how strong the Spirit was! Seriously becasue Jorge has never sincerely felt the desire to go to church or felt bad for not going. But they felt the need to become better and they definitely felt eh ned to repent. What was so beautifulo is that we never once said anything straight up or harsh but the Spirit told and tauhgt them with so much clarity and strong that they realized for themselves. I feel like that is key in orde tot teahc anybody. Always teach in the way so that the Spirit teaches and testifies of the truthfulness and the importance and they will relaize forthemselves and have the desires to be obedient through the love that they feel from God and that love that they have for Him. :)

I love this work and I know wiht my whole heart that it is the work of the Lord and it is the work of Salvation. That we cannot bring people unto Christ by ourselves and that ist is only through the Spirit and the usage of their agency. I know that God loves each one of His children and that He is always doing everything in His power to help each one of them be saved in His kingdom..but that He will never overtake our own agency. I love my God and my Savior and His gospel. I know that this church is literally His kingdom onb Eartha dn that we need to all thrust with our sickles for the salvation of His children in our surroundings. Let us all work and serve together. It requieres a willing heart, desires, and hard work. And always remember...Existence without work isnt existence. And only God makes us happy. All good things comes from Him. I love you all!!!
