Creating Personal Scriptures

This week i learned the importance of keeping a journal...for all of you that do so..give yourslef a good pat on the back.. I on teh other hand havent been very good at it. oops.. haha. Anyways this week i learned the importnace of doing so as I was studying in the book of 3 Nephi 23. In the verses 9-12 it is explaining about when Christ was in America and was teachiong the Nephites. He asked them to keep anad write another record of scriptures adn explained to them teh importance of doing so to show the world that the Lord fulfills His words. So how exactly doe sthat apply to journal writing. you may ask? We need  tow rite in our journals of the things that happen in our life and the blessings fromthe Lord during adn after.  Also because they can show the future generations our difficulties and tribulations but that Heavenly FAther has freed adn given us the help we needed during each of those times. When we pray fro things specific or have specific worries, we need to write about these things and our feelings regarding them so we can see and later write about how the Lord answered our prayers, how He helped us through them adn what we learned by having that. If we do so, journal writing will become much more than we thoguht it was and will become like our personal scriptures becasue if theya re the words of the Spirit, which are from God, adn they will be there to be basically another testament that He lives and that He loves us.

3 Nephi 23:9-12;
"Verily I say unto you, I commanded my servant Samuel , the Lamanite, that he should testify unto this people, that at the day that the Father should glorify his name in me that there were many saints who should arise from the dead, and should appear unto many, and should minister unto them. And...

10And his disciples answered him and said: Yea, Lord, Samuel did prophesy according to thy words, and they were all fulfilled.

11And Jesus said unto them: How be it that ye have not written this thing, that many saints did arise and appear unto many and did minister unto them?

12And it came to pass that Nephi remembered that this thing had not been written."

I dont know if any of that made sense becasue i was tryignt o translate it from my study journal that was written in Spanish. Hope it made sense and that along with me, we can all start or continue writing in our journals about our lives wiht more frecuency... :) I love you all! Miss you tons!

Also this week we have transfers! My companion Hermana Espinoza and I are getting separated after 1 short transfer together. So sad but all is well.. She is lñeaveing for Rio Negro close to Osorno and Im staying here. Well kind of...I am staying in the same house but the Elders are receiving our sector and My new companion and I are receivng their. Whats funny is that the companion that im receivng is Hermana Terceross, the smae Hermana that i stayed 3 days with on a intertrasnfer. lol. haha this shall be interesting! :) Im sure we will have fun. :)
