Sleep Walking, Farting, Language Learning, and the Spirit

The CCM is fantastico! It is hard but worth while. I can see why mi Presidente Martino said that your mission will be the hardest but funnest thing youll ever do. Learning the language is muy dificil but is bien. I was struggling on and off for a couple of days but am now doing much better. I have been praying constantly and I got the answer that I just needed to have faith... so i am and am having a fantastic time.

The food here is good. My companion is amazing! Her name is Hermana Hume and she is from Colorado. She has taken 3 1/2 years of spanish and sleep walks. So funny story... last night she slept walked into the room next to ours and asked one Hermana to please get out of her bed. hahahaha the Hermana was super confused and then Hermana Hume stared at the closets in their room for a while then walked back to our room. The next morning Hume told us that she thought that she walked into another sisters room but couldnt tell if it was a dream or not...we laughed and thought that if it did happen...it was the funniest story ever. During study time the Hermanas were leaving the casa and Hume went up and asked if anybody came in their room last night and they were like.. IT WAS YOU WASNT IT!! bahahahahaha we were laughing so hard. Pretty funny, huh? Oh and the night before she woke us all up at 1 am freaking out saying that we were late while she was literally clawing at the curtains. hahaha Shes a fun companion.

Then today my laundry was locked in the washing machine. I was super worried so we decided to pray which was Hermana Talimatasis idea...Brilliant! Anyways i offered the prayer and right after we got done mi companera Hermana Hume went to open it and it was still locked but we still felt like all was well and voila!!! We heard a loud click and it was opened! Needless to say... i removed my laundry promptly and moved them to a different washing machine! LOL! I felt like we needed to offer a prayer of thanks so we did.

Today has sure been a day full of adventure! We challenged the other district to a volleyball match, which by the way I am horrible at, and that will take place tonight. We are all excited. The other two Hermanas that live in the same room with us are name Hermana Talimatasi and Hermana Findlay. Hermana Talimatasi is full Somoan and farts in her sleep...shes seriously awesome! Hahah Hermana Findlay is obsessed with cars and talks in her sleep. hahahah we have quite an interesting array of action going on at night wiht Hermana hume sleep walking, Hermana Findlay talking, and Hermana Talimatasi farting. hahaha sorry I just find it hilarious.. I had to share.

Sunday was amazing! We felt the Spirit so strongly. The hymns when sung in spanish are even more beautiful than ever. Im doing much better and I love you guys so much! I will be sending you pictures one by one because thats how this email system works so...los siento! Well my spanish has gotten much better. On Sunday we each got to talk to our President of our district and it helped me greatly. He truly is a man called of God. I told him about my frustration that I have with learning the language and he said that i needed to be happy where i am but never satisfied. He then proceeded to tell me a bunch of other things that made me feel better. He said that I have a unique and wonderful spirit about me and that the people in Chile will love me which was what i needed to hear at the time. He the told me that I will most likely have a hard time bonding with my mission president which was super trippy because i had that feeling shortly after receiving my call. He also told me that i needed to be myself and the people will just fall in love with me.. so that is what i am trying to do. Be myself. Believe it or not..its harder than you think. hahahaha

Well the Lord definitely blesses His missionaries. He loves His children so much. I fell His love each and ever day and the veil has definitely thinned since being out here. I got a Spanish dream the other night...okay well i had a dream that i was learning spanish and it made for the worst nights of sleep ever! hahahaha my brain never stopped but it actually did help me so it was a blessing. I want you all to know that i am doing great and please dont worry about me. I love you all so much and miss you! Please take care of yourselves.

Mom, Tif, Sharlene, and Avery: I am so grateful to Heavenly Father that you guys are safe. My heart just about broke when I read the news. Im so sorry that you guys are hurting but yet I am so grateful that you all are healthy and no broken bones for the most part... beside Sharlene. Im really sorry, that truly sucks. Ill pray for your guys speedily recovery and also will all the Hermanas that I live with. I hope you guys are healing fine. Please be safe. I love you and miss you.

Roxy, Jim, and Gabe: I love you guys so much and I hope youll forgive me for not saying goodbye. I honestly forgot. I promise Ill make it up to you guys when i get back. Im sorry I messed up your makeup. I love you.

Sterling: I love you so much and am so grateful for your example to me on how a missionary should be. All the Hermanas that i live with already know about you. hahah I promise that Ill write you next week personally. We are really pressed for time right now. I lvoe you thougha dn please never forget that. We will be reunite soon so no worries. I love you Elder Silver.

Everyone: Please take care of yourselves and always remember that God loves you. You are His children and He wants you to talk to Him. Remember to be active in your hearts to the gospel. There is no other greater blessing we have in this life. I love you all and also please send me pictures. emailed ones are great too! I dont have any and it totally sucks. Also please forward this email to everyone else. I didnt bring my journal so therefore i couldnt send it to anyone who didnt write me or whos email addresses i havent memorized.
