I love hearing about how you guys are doing! The Lord has truly blessed our family and close ones. :) This week had its ups and downs as usual but I can only look up! The Lord has kept my loved ones safe and I am very grateful for that. Thank you for letting me know how everyone is doing. I get so excited and feel at home when you guys let me know. The CCM is hard because it is complete immersion but I feel Gods love for me each day I am out here. A couple days ago I was really struggling so I humbled myself and asked for a blessing. Elder Jackson gave me the blessing and during it I felt how much God loves me and the choice I made to listen to His will. I felt peace about learning the language and have made substantial progress since then. The power of the priesthood is amazing! I still at times feel overwhelmed but I know that God is aware of my struggles and is helping me. He never said itd be easy but He did say that itd be worth it. When Im struggling I say a prayer and right after i receive a tremendous amount of peace and love. I know that prayer helps us tremendously. Heavenly Father is just waiting for us to ask for the blessings and do our part.
This weekend I learned what to pray with real intent meant. I means that you have made the decision that whatever you will receive as your answer you will commit to. I thought that was pretty neat.
So Sundays are probably my favorite day of the week and then Pday. Sundays are so amazing! The lesson are amazing and you learn so much. Plus you get a lot of devotionals and on top of it you get to watch a wonderful church movie. This last Sunday we had a Devotional by Shawn Cates (director of training and operations). In it he talks about how the Lord asks us to give Him our hearts and He will give us power and together we will change the world person by person. He also talked about when Jesus asked the Apostles to follow Him and He will make them fishers of men. When they threw their nets on the other side of the boat because he asked them to and how it almost broke their nets. Missionary work is like that. To be fishers of men is going to be hard (like the Apostles had to real in the fish with their strength and effort) but if you listen to the Lord He will pour out His blessings of your labor in abundance (the fish were definitely in abundance!). Also theat we needed to remember Lot´s wife (Genesis 19:17). Her attachment with the past exceeded her confidence or faith in the future. The past is to be learned from but not lived in. I loved the devotional as you can tell. :)
So right now we have two investigators. One is a girl named Gris and the other is a guy named Jorge. Gris has problems with committing and her whole family are members. Jorge has problems with his family so he wont be baptized. They have the most wonderful spirits about them. Teaching is a bit difficult for me because I dont know very much Spanish. The Spirit is definitely there though and by some miracle I can somewhat understand them. The Lord loves His children! I am so happy to hear that you guys are doing great and healing. :) You all have been in my prayers constantly. The Lord comforts me and lets me know that you guys are okay. :) Thank you so much for all of your emails!
So I cant receive packages here but I can receive latter but they wont arrive in time. It would be better to wait for when I arrive in Chile. I will get the address to you guys. :) I love the pictures that you all sent me! Thank you very much! Thank you for all of your prayers. Please keep letting me know how you guys are doing because although I dont have enough time to necessarily always write back I still enjoy them. :) Selfish huh? lol! I love you all so much and miss you VERY much! We are so busy here that luckily I dont ahve very much time to dwell on it otherwise Id probably get homesick. I will try to send pictures. I lvoe you all xoxoxoxoxoxo :)
